WELCOME TO
SCARBOROUGH SEAHAWKS BASKETBALL CLUB

Scarborough Seahawks Basketball Club has now been running for 19 years, this year being our 20th anniversary. I am proud to say that our club is probably one of the longest serving amateur basketball clubs in the country.

We have a large junior section within our club structure which we are always looking to expand. Currently we have an U14 boys team which plays in a Central Venue League each month and an U16 and U18 boys team that plays National League basketball in the England Basketball North East Conference's.

Friday evenings is Junior Development night in which currently we have 40+ youngsters coming to the club to learn the basic fundamentals of the game and play games. At this session we are now starting to see alot more girls taking part, this means that we will shortly have to put on a girls only session.

Scarborough Seahawks Basketball Club was the first basketball club in the country to gain the Sport England Club Mark Award making us a child friendly club, the club was also the first club in Yorkshire to gain England Basketball 3*** Accreditation. We have an excellent group of coaches who are all England Basketball qualified and CRB checked.

The clubs venue is the Pindar Leisure Centre, in which we run sessions four nights a week. Our U16 and U18 National League games are played on a Sunday afternoon. We have excellent school/club links and at present I am head of basketball at Scarborough Sixth Form College.

We are always looking for new members, volunteers and parents to join our club and if you would like more information please click on the email link below:
